Our Environmental Impact

We take our environmental impact seriously. Our farms are all within 30 miles of one of our dairies where Leerdammer cheese is produced to reduce travel times and keep milk fresh.

 

In terms of packing, we have reduced the amount of plastic used in our Leerdammer packaging over time & our slices packaging is now completely recyclable as well as being made from 24% already recycled material.

 

But our environmental impact extends far beyond how we use our own resources. In partnership with the WWF, Groupe Bel is a member of the WWF Round Table on Responsible Soy Production to ensure the food our cows eat is increasingly sourced responsibly.
